Color schema used in the design of Mapbox zoom levels. Each color scheme is adopted from the stamps below.

I drew inspiration from Indian stamps (1948 - 1951) and incorporated the color schema and water patterns, iconography and fonts.

In the map, letters (postal) represent cities, and capitol buildings represent national capitals.

Take a look at few geographies starting with Washington D.C., US
The "Venice of North" - Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The booming "tech park" - Bay area, San Francisco
Welcome to the land of vintage cars - Havana, Cuba
Zoom into any geography and start exploring the aesthetics and design of web map, if it was designed using a theme from "Indian postal stamps"
